Do I need to fill out both a U.S. and Canadian tax return?
Yes, we recommend that you do, as it is standard for traveling RNs. However if you have severed all ties and do not plan on returning to Canada within the next two years, it may not be necessary to pay Canadian taxes on worldwide income. Procare USA does advise that you check with your accountant or tax advisor for specific answers to your particular tax situation.
