for qualified Canadian Registered Nurses.

immigration information is provided below. Nurses are encouraged

TN
Visa (Temporary Work/Entry)
Registered Nurses who are citizens of Canada may temporarily
work in the United States under provisions of the North
American Free Trade Agreement. Our experienced
staff will guide you through the necessary steps to attain
legal entry status. We can also advise on work/entry requirements
for dependents traveling with you.
The following
is a list of required documentation for applicants seeking
admission under NAFTA. All documents must be originals or
certified copies and prepared in English (certified translations
may be accepted). Please note non-Canadian citizen dependents
of Canadian nurses may need special arrangements.

RN license for the state of intended employment |

Canadian RN license (not really essential, but advisable
in some cases) |

Education Diploma that must show the applicant completed
a course of
education leading to professional recognition as a Registered
Nurse |

Original,
signed, letterhead employment offer letter from the U.S.
employer. The letter
must show title (Registered Nurse), duties, income details,
hours (full-time) and closed
date frame (example - June 21, 2008 through June 20, 2009) |

Canadian
Birth (wallet size will do) or naturalization certificate
and/or passport
proving Canadian citizenship for everyone traveling. Passports
must be valid for at
least six months beyond the intended length of stay in
the U.S. |

Port
of Entry/BCBP processing fee currently is $50.00 U.S.
base fee and $6.00 for each
person petitioning for entry (Fees are subject to change.)

Certification) |
Once Port
of Entry processing is complete, the U.S. Citizenship and
Immigration Services (formerly known as INS) Officer will
issue an arrival/departure record card to each applicant,
usually for a period of 12 months. In effect, this card (also
referred to as an I-94 document) is the authorization to work
and live temporarily in the United States.
