Checkout is Monday at noon following completion of the final travel nurse’s workweek. A monthly allowance may be paid if housing arrangements are not required.

Procare USA offers competitive hourly rates for Kansas travel nurses. Time-and-one-half (or double) the base hourly rate is generally paid to travel nurses for overtime, holiday, or callback hours. Differentials are commonly paid for charge or supervisory roles and when placed on-call for many Kansas travel nurse jobs. Free direct deposit is available and payroll is paid biweekly.

Eligibility for a Kansas travel nurse to enroll in Procare’s benefit plans is the first of the calendar month following thirty days of employment. Procare USA provides our Kansas travel nurses a 401k plan with company match and immediate vesting. The plan offers a range of investment options that provides the travel nurse the opportunity to diversify their investment dollars. Procare USA pays all of the premiums related to our group medical, dental and term life insurance for Kansas travel nurses. We also offer dependent care coverage at a reasonable cost. Group Term Life insurance will be provided for each Kansas travel nurse regardless of medical and dental plan participation, at no cost to the nurse.

Kansas hospitals require travel nurses to hit the unit floor running with limited orientation. Usually to work as a Kansas travel nurse, you need at least one year of clinical experience as an RN or LPN preferably in an acute care hospital setting. Additionally, Kansas travel nurses may be asked to float to other units where they have previous work experience. Travel nursing can be a rewarding experience for nurses that possess strong clinical skills and want to see the country.
