Louisiana Travel Nursing

For Louisiana travel nursing jobs, Procare USA provides private, single occupant, furnished housing for free. There are additional housing charges for extra bedrooms, furniture, house wares and linens, if needed, by our Louisiana travel nurses. We coordinate and pay rent, security deposit and utilities and you arrange and pay for telephone, cable and security deposit for pets (if applicable). For a Louisiana travel nurse, check-in is generally permitted on the Friday prior to the travel nursing assignment start date. Checkout is Monday at noon following completion of the final travel nurse’s workweek. A monthly allowance may be paid if housing arrangements are not required.

Louisiana travel nurses receive competitive hourly rates while on assignment. With many Louisiana travel nursing jobs, differentials are paid for charge or supervisory roles and when placed on-call. Time-and-one-half (or double) the base hourly rate is generally paid for overtime, holiday, or callback hours. Louisiana travel nurses receive free bi-weekly direct deposit while on assignment with Procare USA.

A Louisiana travel nurse working for Procare USA is eligible for our 401k plan with company match and immediate vesting. A range of investment options is provided, giving you the opportunity to spread your investment among different categories within our plan. Procare USA also pays 100% of the premium cost for group medical, dental and term life insurance for our Louisiana travel nurses. Affordable dependent care coverage is also available. Group Term Life insurance will be provided for each Louisiana travel nurse regardless of medical and dental plan participation, at no cost to the nurse. The eligibility for Procare’s benefits plans is the first of the calendar month following thirty days of employment.

Travel nursing can be a rewarding experience for nurses who have strong clinical skills and want to travel to states like Louisiana. Usually to work as a Louisiana travel nurse, you need at least one year of hospital work experience as a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse. Louisiana hospitals require travel nurses to hit the unit running with little orientation. In addition, Louisiana travel nurses may be asked to float to other units where they have work experience.
